SALEM, MASSACHUSETTS (February 2026) — On Monday morning, February 9th, a four-alarm fire had occurred at our latest building expansion at The Cove at Salem Hotel. We are thankful that all occupied and unoccupied rooms in the building were evacuated, and all guests were safely accounted for while the Salem Fire Department and neighboring towns worked to contain, extinguish, and investigate the incident. Following the fire department’s swift response, all guests that day were safely relocated. 

Our hotel remains open and a heartfelt thanks to the First-Responders and community for their unwavering support. We welcome guests to stay in our new accommodations as well as the classic and themed suites in our main building. Stay tuned for news regarding our plans to rebuild. We're thankful for the continued support from our loyal guests, our neighbors, and the community as we forge ahead.
